Spending September in a Garden – Scottish Gardens Month
The crisp and golden days of September offer the perfect time to visit a Scottish garden and this year Discover Scottish Gardens is helping visitors uncover the treasures gardens hold through a month-long celebration: Scottish Gardens Month.

Scotland’s gardens are a popular place to visit from March through August, but September hosts an abundance of beauty, activities and events for all to enjoy. Where visits may not be traditionally anticipated from September in Scotland, these beloved spaces remain fantastic places to explore gardens, woodlands and orchards which are full of colour and life, offering visitors a wonderful day out.

Scottish Gardens Month will kick off on the 1st September and run until 30th September. Discover Scottish Gardens will be showcasing gardens to visit each week as well as sharing weekly events and activities for visitors to enjoy. Each week will see a different theme, celebrating the many sides of Scotland’s gardens, helping visitors to discover new gardens and events to attend.

Week 1 Tuesday 1st-Saturday 5th: Flower Power

From the traditional to the wild, discover Scotland’s incredible flower collections in herbaceous borders, walled gardens, wild flower meadows and prairie gardens.
