Scone Palace and Gardens
The extensive gardens and grounds of Scone Palace are home to many arboricultural and horticultural delights. A Victorian Pinetum planted with exotic conifers, include a Douglas fir raised from seed sent back from America in 1826 by Scottish plant hunter David Douglas, and Perthshire's only maze planted in a mix of purple and green beech to create a unique tartan effect. The Kitchen Garden, offers the opportunity to view where produce is grown for the Palace Coffee Shop and also has a colourful display of sweet peas, dahlia flowers and an annual border in the cutting garden. Seasonal highlights of Snowdrops, Daffodils, Rhododendrons, perennials and autumn colours from one of the finest tree collections, delight throughout the season. Our Walled Garden Nursery has newly opened for a fine selection of plants, cut flowers and veg from the garden to buy.
