Crathes Castle, Garden and Estate
Built in the 16th century this enchanting castle is an intricate maze of turrets, towers, oak panels and painted ceiling which have survived beautifully to this day.
Inside you will find a labyrinth of cultural history, but the grounds are undoubtedly one of the best features at Crathes.
The walled garden is a wonderful jungle of history, encompassing every green delight imaginable including massive yew hedges which were planted as early as 1702.
Nature spotters will love the trails along the Coy Burn - this glorious garden is something for everyone to enjoy.
