Tessa will guide you round her garden at Glenwhan and explain you how she began from bare moorland 45 years ago to create what is now a beautiful 12 acre garden containing many Rhododendrons, from the hardy hybrids, planted in the early days when the garden was first started, through to the native species, needing more shelter.
Many of these plants have been collected in the wild and grown from seed. The ph 4.5 together with the high rainfall is particularly suitable to grow the Genus.
