Blair is a ‘Sleeping Beauty’ of a garden which is being lovingly restored. There is an atmosphere of a grand 19th century park with masses of changes in mood: sweeping vistas, magnificent trees, shady promenades, and secret groves - everything that is typical of the period. In February enjoy beautiful displays of snowdrops. Walks on the estate will include access to the private gardens. Please wear stout footwear. Designing the Modern Winter garden: one day course with Head Gardener Elliot Forsyth. Learn how to create a winter garden taking inspiration from the winter garden walk at Cambo, designed by Head Gardener Elliot Forsyth. Aspects will Include, Making a theme, Plant selection and combining plants effectively. We will also look at Key plants for the winter season.

You can wander around the grounds on a self- led tour, enjoy luxury coffee, cakes, soup and sandwiches in the beautiful stables tearoom or join the guided walk at 2pm. On this walk, the Hopetoun ranger will guide you through the grounds of Scotland’s Finest Stately home, offering information and stories about the history and folklore of the Snowdrop.
