The Champion Trees at Ardkinglas also include 'the mightiest conifer in Europe' a remarkable European Silver Fir (Abies alba) with a girth of nearly ten metres. Other champions in Ardkinglas Woodland Garden are Patagonian Cypress (Fitzroya cupressoides), Hinoki Cypress (Chamaecyparis obtusa), Western Red Cedar (Thuya plicata) and the unusual Mountain Hemlock (Tsuga mertensiana var. jeffreyi).Find out more

We will have a wonderful selection of homemade goods where funds will go towards the Rose garden and it’s continued regeneration. We will also be drawing our raffle at this event and all tickets sold will be contacted on this date.

Join ethnobotanist Jennie Martin at Logie Steading for a fun and informative day learning how to identify broadleaved trees in winter - easier than you think when you are shown how to do it! Jennie has worked in nature conservation and education for over 25 years delivering courses to all ages from primary school children to 95 year olds.
This winter tree id course is an entry level course for those wanting to learn how to identify trees in winter.
During October why not come and join us for our popular Pumpkin Trail around the Gardens. Tread through the crispy autumn leaves and find the hidden pumpkins to receive a delicious treat. The Walking Theatre Company are using the woodlands of Teasses Gardens to lead a spooky themed tour of the gardens geared towards all of the family.
