Plant Power Day Free

Plant Power (in partnership with the James Hutton Institute) & Family Picnic & a Play in the Botanic Gardens. Come along to an informal gathering, with free entry to the Botanic Gardens for the afternoon. Bring your picnic hamper and take the chance to relax at the end of such an exciting weekend! There will also be a special performance of the Four Marys play - four iconic Marys – Slessor, Brooksbank, Walker and Baxter – each helped the city in their different ways. Lots of fun activities will be taking place throughout the day, including music, birds of prey and badge making.

Isle of Gigha School Gardening Week: Plant Swap and Tea

As part of Isle of Gigha School Gardening Week, Achamore Gardens will be hosting a Plant Swap and Afternoon Tea at the Isle of Gigha Village Hall. The afternoon will be a wonderful opportunity for visitors and locals to exchange plants with fellow gardeners, sample some fabulous local baking and support the development of the School’s Gardening Projects. From seedlings to trees and shrubs, plants will be exchanged like for like. The school children have a particular need for veg and veg garden flora.

Willowhill is opening for Scotland’s Gardens with St Fort Woodland Garden and Tayfield.
There will be a large plant sale at Willowhill and Forgan Arts Centre will be open to provide teas for visitors.
This is also an opportunity to enjoy some of the artwork, created at the Centre, which will be on display with some for sale. Information about the many classes for all abilities will be available.
