Come see our stunning display of Rhododendrons throughout the gardens in a variety of colours that will brighten any day! Recently the collection has been extended with an emphasis on selecting plants with the best foliage or bark colours as well as beautiful flowers. The plants are scattered throughout the gardens, but the majority are in the new Rhododendron Garden which opened last year. Entry to this area is up a short flight of steps and through an atmospheric Rhododendron tunnel. Here, the Rhododendrons are under planted with daffodils and wildflowers.Find out more
Glenarn, part of the Glorious Gardens of Argyll and Bute, is open for visitors every day, dawn to dusk. The magnolias are currently in full flower and over 40 different rhododendrons are looking wonderful, with more coming into flower each day.
A special private garden to visit, early in the year with masses of colour and flowers from early April. Glenarn is positioned in a sheltered hollow, close to the Clyde with wonderful old rhododendrons from the time of the famous plant collectors as well as many new introductions.
